Accountant | Senior Accountant AP & AR (REMOTE)

Accountant (Remote – Philippines)

Location: Remote (Philippines-based); must work core U.S. business hours (Pacific Time)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: HR Manager / Executive Leadership

About the Role

Calidad is hiring a hands-on Accountant to own our day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and keep our QuickBooks records clean and current. This role requires accuracy, follow-through, and comfort working independently in a remote environment. You won't be closing the books or running payroll — the focus is on keeping AP, AR, and QuickBooks running smoothly and reliably every day.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Manage the full AP cycle: bill entry, coding, approval routing, and payment runs
  • Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and support 1099 tracking
  • Monitor AP aging and flag upcoming cash requirements

Accounts Receivable

  • Generate and send client invoices
  • Track aging receivables and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts

QuickBooks

  • Act as the day-to-day QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) user for AP and AR transactions
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Keep records accurate, current, and audit-ready

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, with hands-on AP and AR work
  • Demonstrable, hands-on QuickBooks experience (not just occasional lookups or reporting)
  • Comfortable owning transactions end-to-end — entering, coding, and reconciling, not just reviewing
  • Fluent, professional English (written and spoken)
  • Reliable remote work setup and ability to work U.S. business hours
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S.-based companies remotely
  • Experience with AP/AR automation tools integrated with QuickBooks
