Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting, taxation, VAT, financial reporting, or a related field is required.
Candidates must be a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) holder.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and tax compliance requirements.
Experience in VAT preparation, review, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
Knowledge of Zakat and Income Tax requirements in GCC countries is an advantage.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation procedures, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify discrepancies and implement effective tax and accounting controls.
Knowledge of tax risk management, audit support, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on business operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to handle confidential financial and tax information professionally.

Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation, review, and timely submission of VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations.
Oversee the company’s VAT processes, controls, reconciliations, and reporting activities.
Review VAT transactions and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, errors, and potential compliance issues.
Identify opportunities to improve VAT processes, controls, reporting, and documentation, and ensure effective implementation.
Provide VAT advisory support to business units and assist in implementing compliant tax processes and controls for business changes.
Prepare and review Zakat and Income Tax returns for GCC countries and other jurisdictions where the organization operates.
Monitor applicable tax regulations and advise management on tax-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax-related financial data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain complete, accurate, and properly organized tax records and supporting documentation.
Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and government reporting requirements and assess their impact on the organization.
Ensure timely compliance with applicable government tax reporting and filing requirements.
Support internal and external tax audits, tax assessments, and regulatory reviews.
Assist in identifying, assessing, and managing tax-related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Coordinate with accounting, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
Prepare tax-related reports and analysis for management as required.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial and tax information.
Perform other accounting and taxation duties related to the position as assigned by management.
