Job Objective / Purpose Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are trained to provide emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings (like ambulances, accident sites, or during transport to hospitals) Duties and Responsibilities - Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical assistance. - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history. - Deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) such as CPR, AED operation, airway management, and bleeding control. - Stabilize injuries through splinting, bandaging, and spinal immobilization. - Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring their condition. - Communicate clearly with hospitals, paramedics, and other emergency personnel regarding patient status and care provided. Additional Responsibilities - Prepare accurate and detailed patient care reports and maintain medical records. - Ensure ambulance readiness through routine vehicle inspections, equipment checks, and supply restocking. - Collaborate effectively with paramedics, nurses, doctors, firefighters, and law enforcement during emergencies. - Maintain professional conduct, compassion, and composure in high-stress situations. Qualifications - Candidate must be a registered EMT - At least two (2) years of experience in serving as a medic. Intermediate / Advance / Defib / ACLS preferred - Must have a valid medical clearance issued within the last 6 months - Has either an available NBI, PNP or Barangay Clearance issued within the last 6 months - Ability to thrive under a flexible work schedule environment
