## Amentum — Aircraft Mechanic II, MQ-9 (Philippines/Deployable) We are looking for a skilled USMC MQ-9 CLS Mechanic to directly support the USMC MQ-9 Site Manager while providing hands-on maintenance, leadership, and training as needed. This role requires experience in structures, hydraulics, engines, and avionics, and the ability to use diagrams, blueprints, and technical publications. You will inspect and repair power plant malfunctions (including cracked components and oil leaks), diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct failures. You will test engine operations and use test equipment to locate sources of malfunction(s); replace or repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft using hoists or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft. You will also adjust, repair, or replace instruments, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories, perform aircraft services such as engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks. You may specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies and will recommend revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship. The position also performs all other duties as assigned. ### Minimum Qualifications - Active Secret U.S. Government clearance required (U.S. citizenship required to obtain a Secret clearance). - High School Diploma or completion of relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum. - Minimum of three years of aircraft mechanic maintenance experience. - Minimum of one year experience on MQ-9 aircraft as an Aircraft Mechanic. - Advanced knowledge of basic and complex mechanical maintenance and repair and advanced knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft mechanical maintenance. - Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components. - Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair. - Ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. - Knowledge of theory and principles of operation of engines, accessories and components, theory of flight and electronic flight controls, and advanced understanding of applicable systems. - Ability to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment. - Knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2 NAMP and DAFI 21-101. - Must achieve passing grades in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed. - Ability to lift, carry, and/or wear military issued equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods. - Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. - Current/active state-issued driver’s license and ability to acquire/maintain a valid flight-line Government Driver’s License. - Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS for deployments and meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre-deployment medical screening. For OCONUS deployments, must have a valid U.S. passport with a minimum of two years remaining and at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank visa pages. ### Preferred Qualifications - Associate degree in a relevant career field. - FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. - Aircraft mechanic experience within the last 10 years. - Deployment experience. - Prior experience as a defense contractor. - MQ-9 aircraft composite repair / replacement experience. - NDI (Non-Destructive Inspection) qualification. ### Compensation - $47.98 per hour (provided as a good-faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws). ### Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to support you and your priorities.
