Amazon Seller Central Specialist / E-commerce Operations Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Amazon Seller Central Specialist / E-commerce Operations Manager. This role and project can be performed remotely from anywhere in the world.

In this role, you will manage the registration and teach sales, inventory, and day-to-day operations of our products (games) and related products through Amazon Seller Central to our staff. You will work closely with the Physical Release Manager & Project Coordinator to ensure that physical games, including standard, limited, and collector’s editions, are accurately listed and made available on Amazon according to the appropriate release schedule in all regions.

You will oversee and teach Amazon sales operations, including product page creation, ASIN and SKU management, FBA or merchant-fulfilled setup, inventory and order management, sales analysis, and account health. You will also identify and resolve listing and operational issues by coordinating with Amazon Seller Support and relevant internal teams.

We are looking for an Amazon Seller Central expert who can support the growth of BEEP’s physical products business through accurate catalog management and efficient sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage/Teach the day-to-day operation of BEEP’s Amazon Seller Central accounts during the project's timeline
  • Create and register new listings for physical games, limited editions, collector’s editions, and related products
  • Accurately register and manage ASINs, SKUs, JANs, UPCs, EANs, and other product identifiers
  • Create and update product titles, descriptions, bullet points, search terms, images, specifications, release dates, and other listing information
  • Ensure product information, images, packaging details, pricing, and release dates comply with Amazon requirements and internal release plans
  • Work closely with the Physical Release Manager to align on SKUs, production quantities, release dates, preorder dates, delivery schedules, and sales territories
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to prepare and manage product images, copy, A+ Content, Brand Store content, and other listing assets
  • Manage/Teach FBA and merchant-fulfilled configurations, including inbound shipment plans, labels, quantities, and delivery status
  • Teach/Monitor inventory levels, sales velocity, out-of-stock risks, excess inventory, and incoming stock, and recommend replenishment or reorders
  • Maintain accurate inventory for standard and limited editions and reconcile Amazon inventory with internal records and other sales channels
  • Manage preorder settings, release-date transitions, pricing changes, promotions, deals, and coupons
  • Monitor/Teach about orders, returns, refunds, delivery issues, and customer inquiries, coordinating with internal stakeholders when necessary
  • Identify and resolve listing suppressions, incorrect product information, duplicate ASINs, category errors, brand-related errors, and other catalog issues
  • Open cases with Amazon Seller Support and track each issue through resolution
  • Regularly monitor and teach about account health, policy compliance, and performance notifications, addressing risks and issues promptly
  • Track and analyze key metrics, including sales, conversion rates, inventory turnover, return rates, out-of-stock rates, and fees
  • Prepare product-, territory-, and period-based sales reports for the Physical Release Manager, marketing, business development, and management teams
  • Continuously assess product pages and sales performance and recommend improvements to search visibility, conversion, inventory efficiency, and profitability
  • Support/Teach about Amazon advertising, deals, promotions, and related campaigns when required
  • Create and maintain as well as teach about Amazon operating procedures, checklists, product-registration templates, and tracking documents
  • Support product launches across multiple Amazon marketplaces when required
Key Requirements – Ideal Candidate
  • Significant hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, with the ability to independently manage the full process from product registration through post-launch sales operations
  • Practical experience with ASIN and SKU management, catalog creation, and bulk listing uploads and updates
  • Knowledge of FBA, merchant fulfillment, inbound shipments, inventory replenishment, and order and return management
  • Understanding of Amazon account health, listing policies, performance metrics, and listing-suspension procedures
  • Experience working with Amazon Seller Support and resolving catalog, listing, and inventory issues
  • Experience in inventory management, sales tracking, demand forecasting, and replenishment planning
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to organize and analyze product, sales, and inventory data accurately
  • Strong time-management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple products and release schedules simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physical release, marketing, design, logistics, accounting, and other cross-functional teams
  • Ability to investigate problems, identify their causes, and clearly communicate proposed solutions and next steps
  • Japanese proficiency sufficient to accurately understand and prepare Amazon product information, policies, and Seller Support communications
  • English proficiency sufficient to collaborate effectively with an international internal team
  • Proven ability to coordinate with remote teams across multiple time zones
  • Self-motivated and diligent, with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to resolving issues
  • Eagerness to stay current with Amazon’s frequently changing policies, requirements, and platform functionality
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience selling games, electronics, hobby products, or entertainment products on Amazon.co.jp
  • Experience with Amazon Brand Registry, A+ Content, and Brand Stores
  • Experience managing Amazon Ads, Sponsored Products, coupons, deals, or other promotional tools
  • Experience managing multiple international Amazon marketplaces
  • Knowledge of listing SEO, keyword research, and conversion optimization
  • Experience managing limited editions, preorder products, or products with restricted quantities
  • E-commerce experience involving physical games, music, films, books, merchandise, or similar products
  • Experience coordinating with logistics providers, warehouses, distributors, and retail partners
  • Experience with Amazon SP-API, inventory-management systems, ERP platforms, or other e-commerce tools
Expected Outcomes
  • New Amazon listings are completed accurately and on schedule according to the relevant release plan
  • Product information, images, prices, release dates, and inventory data remain accurate and current
  • Risks involving out-of-stock products, excess inventory, listing suppression, and delivery delays are identified and communicated early
  • Standard and limited editions are distributed and replenished appropriately
  • Amazon-related issues and Seller Support cases are clearly documented, tracked, and resolved promptly
  • Sales, listing quality, and inventory efficiency continuously improve through data-informed recommendations
  • The Physical Release Manager and other relevant teams have clear visibility into and learn about Amazon sales and operational status
