The Role
We are recruiting an Arabic Content Analyst to help fine-tune large language models. You will analyze Arabic-language material, verify claims via online research, create analytical questions and scenarios, and produce correct answers with detailed explanations.
This is a contract, part-time position with a strong commitment requirement: you must be available for 40 hours per week that overlap US Pacific time zone hours. Work is fully remote and open worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Read and analyze Arabic-language content, breaking it into logical components and key claims.
- Conduct online research to validate facts and ensure the accuracy of training examples.
- Create analytical questions, scenarios, puzzles, and prompt-response pairs to challenge model reasoning.
- Write clear, high-quality model responses and explanations used for supervised fine-tuning (SFT).
- Rate and evaluate model outputs as part of evaluation tasks (EVALUATION_RATING).
- Provide constructive annotations and feedback to improve dataset quality and model behavior.
- Collaborate with the OpenTrain team, follow guidelines, and meet weekly quality targets and deadlines.
Requirements
- Fluent in Arabic and English (reading and writing) with strong written communication skills in both languages.
- Proven analytical and online research skills to validate claims and assemble accurate training data.
- Ability to provide detailed, constructive annotations and feedback.
- Creative and lateral thinking for crafting challenging prompts and reasoning tasks.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote contractor role.
- Available to work 40 hours per week with schedule overlap in US Pacific time.
- Access to a desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
Helpful Background
Candidates from a range of fields are welcome. Typical helpful backgrounds include engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics, or related studies, though relevant experience can substitute for formal education.
- Professional writing or analysis experience (business/research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, translator).
- Familiarity with Excel and Google Workspace for organizing tasks and tracking work.
- Comfort interpreting data, doing basic arithmetic checks, and writing clear explanations.
