ASSISTANT ELECTRICIAN
Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in paper mills, steel plants, cement factories, petrochemical plants, power stations, or similar heavy industries.
Experience working in a pulp and paper or tissue mill is an advantage.
Knowledge of LV motors, VFDs, MCCs, switchgear, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens experience is an advantage).
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Must have a strong commitment to workplace safety and a safety-first approach.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preventive, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance activities for industrial machinery and equipment.
Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults in production systems.
Assist in the maintenance of LV motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Motor Control Centers (MCCs), switchgear, and electrical panels.
Support the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Assist in PLC/SCADA system checks and troubleshooting, with Siemens system experience considered an advantage.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and technical manuals.
Conduct routine inspections to identify electrical issues and help prevent equipment downtime.
Follow electrical safety procedures, company policies, and industrial safety standards.
Maintain proper tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
Provide support to electricians and maintenance teams during repair and maintenance activities.
Perform other electrical-related duties assigned by the employer.
