About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Technical Writer to support our Facade Testing team in producing clear, accurate, and professional documentation related to building envelope performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting technical documents, including:
    • façade and window system test reports
    • laboratory and field testing procedures
    • data summaries and performance evaluations
    • quality assurance documentation
  • Work closely with test engineers, technicians, and project managers to gather data and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Organize test data and observations into clear, traceable report structures.
  • Maintain document templates, style guides, and version control.
  • Support the creation of diagrams, annotated images, and visual aids for test setups and results.
  • Produce Reports based on façade testing standards (ASTM, AAMA, CSA, etc.) and building envelope performance criteria.

Hard Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Chemical)
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Good math background - strong with calculus, statistics and statics
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with façade testing, building envelope systems, or construction documentation (preferred but not required).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Mathcad
  • Must be fluent in English - clear communication is a must
  • Must have experience in the Building Facade Industry (Aluminum Curtain Walls, Windows, Window Walls, Rainscreen Cladding etc)

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Autocad
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as C++ and Python
