Description Bilingual Dental Biller + Front Desk Support (English/Spanish) Salary: $5.00–$6.00 USD per hour (depending on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week) Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM Pacific Time (PST) with a 1-hour unpaid break About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Bilingual Dental Biller + Front Desk Support to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented dental professional with strong experience in orthodontic and oral surgery billing, insurance claims, and front desk support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate claim submission, timely insurance follow-up, and exceptional patient service while supporting two busy dental offices. This is primarily an administrative and billing-focused role with occasional front desk and phone support responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Dental & Orthodontic Billing (Primary Responsibility) - Process and submit dental, orthodontic, and oral surgery insurance claims accurately and on time. - Ensure claims are complete, compliant, and submitted correctly to maximize reimbursement. - Review unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and take appropriate corrective action. - Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims. - Monitor claim status and follow up with insurance companies until resolution. - Maintain accurate billing documentation and patient financial records. - Work with Denti-Cal (California Medicaid) and commercial dental insurance plans. Insurance Verification & Claims Management - Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to treatment. - Confirm patient coverage, deductibles, copays, and treatment limitations. - Obtain benefit information and communicate coverage details when necessary. - Follow up with insurance carriers regarding pending claims and authorizations. - Maintain detailed documentation of insurance communications and claim updates. Front Desk & Patient Support - Answer overflow inbound calls professionally. - Assist new patients with scheduling appointments and responding to general inquiries. - Route calls appropriately and provide excellent customer service. - Support front desk operations during high patient volume. - Maintain HIPAA compliance while handling patient information. Administrative Support - Assist with billing questions and account inquiries. - Support administrative functions across two dental office locations. - Maintain organized patient records and billing documentation. - Collaborate with in-office staff to ensure efficient daily operations. - Participate in cross-training to support multiple office workflows. Required Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of dental billing experience (Required) - Orthodontic billing experience (Required) - Oral surgery billing experience (Strongly Preferred / Must Have) - Experience handling: - Insurance claim submissions - Claim follow-up - Appeals and denials - Insurance verification - Experience working with Denti-Cal (California Medicaid) is highly preferred. - Native or fluent bilingual English/Spanish speaker (Required) — approximately 50–60% of patients are Spanish-speaking. - Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dental environment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Comfortable supporting multiple office locations. Performance Expectations Success in this role will be measured by: - Accurate and timely submission of insurance claims. - High claim approval and reimbursement rates. - Prompt follow-up and resolution of denied or pending claims. - Accurate insurance verification and documentation. - Professional handling of patient calls and scheduling inquiries. - Strong collaboration with the billing and front office teams. Requirements Basic Requirements - Must speak and write English clearly and professionally. - Must have relevant work experience. - Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory). - Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.
