Branded Content Writer – Short-Form Video
About the Role
Agyle Brands is looking for a Branded Content Writer who can turn brand objectives, product information, and audience insights into short-form content people genuinely want to watch. You will develop scripts and creative concepts for 30–90-second TikTok and Instagram Reels content aimed primarily at the Philippine mass-affluent and upper-middle-class market. The work will span entertainment-led branded content—such as comedy sketches, mini-dramas, romance, and recurring stories—as well as product education, Features-Advantages-Benefits content, and more direct product demonstrations.
This is not simply a copywriting position. We are looking for a storyteller who understands character, emotion, culture, and the pace of short-form video. You should be able to make a brand feel like a natural part of a story while still delivering its intended message.
You do not need to be equally strong in every genre. You may be particularly skilled in drama, comedy, standalone sketches, serialized stories, or another format. What matters is that you can intentionally create an emotional response and adapt your storytelling approach to the needs of each brand and campaign.
What You’ll Do
- Develop original short-form concepts and scripts for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Write entertainment-led branded content, including standalone sketches, recurring characters, serialized mini-dramas, comedy, romance, and other narrative formats.
- Create product-focused content covering features, advantages, benefits, usage, education, and demonstrations.
- Integrate brands and products into content using either subtle storytelling or more direct product placement, depending on the campaign objective.
- Build compelling hooks, clear narrative arcs, memorable characters, natural dialogue, and satisfying emotional payoffs within 30–90 seconds.
- Write in conversational English, Tagalog, and Taglish for Filipino audiences.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop reusable storytelling assets, including characters, relationships, settings, and story worlds that brands can build on over time.
- Turn initial ideas into production-ready creative materials, including scripts, captions, shot lists, storyboard direction, and creative briefs.
- Conduct timely research into audience behavior, cultural conversations, platform trends, and relevant topics to keep content current.
- Work from provided brand guidelines, audience profiles, and approved product claims while identifying areas that require additional clarification or research.
- Participate in creative reviews and revise work efficiently based on clear, consolidated feedback.
- Attend shoots when required and provide script adjustments or creative support during production.
- Review engagement, retention, and other available performance data to understand what worked and improve future concepts and scripts.
- Proactively pitch new formats, stories, characters, and content opportunities.
- Maintain a dependable pipeline of high-quality ideas and scripts across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Junior- to mid-level writing experience, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant storytelling or branded-content work.
- Proven ability to write engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms.
- Strong command of conversational English and Tagalog, including natural Taglish dialogue.
- A clear strength in at least one storytelling style or format, such as drama, comedy, romance, standalone sketches, or serialized narratives.
- Strong understanding of character development, emotional storytelling, narrative structure, and audience payoff.
- Ability to translate product information and brand strategy into entertaining, accessible content.
- Awareness of Filipino culture, humor, behaviors, and current conversations—particularly among mass-affluent and upper-middle-class audiences.
- Strong instinct for hooks, pacing, retention, and engagement in short-form video.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives, approved claims, brand guidelines, and production realities.
- Openness to feedback and the ability to produce strong revisions within one or two well-defined review rounds.
- Good research, organization, communication, and deadline-management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to develop ideas with creative, production, and brand teams.
- Availability to attend shoots and selected activities within NCR.
- Flexibility to work occasional irregular hours when required by shoot schedules or campaign deadlines.
What Success Looks Like
- Your scripts capture attention quickly and keep audiences watching.
- Your stories elicit the intended emotion, whether that is laughter, curiosity, excitement, empathy, desire, or trust.
- Brand and product messages feel purposeful within the content rather than awkwardly inserted.
- Your concepts give the creative and production teams a strong foundation to build from.
- Your work contributes to stronger engagement and retention over time.
- You learn from performance data and consistently apply those insights to future content.
- You deliver thoughtful, usable work at a pace that supports an active content pipeline.
