We are seeking a CDI Specialist to join our dynamic team in a full-time, work-from-home capacity based in Ortigas Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Philippine Health Registered Nurse (PHRN) or Medical Coder to make a meaningful impact in clinical documentation integrity and medical coding. As a CDI Specialist, you will play a crucial role in improving the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of clinical documentation whilst supporting healthcare providers in delivering optimal patient outcomes.This position offers flexibility, professional growth, and a competitive salary package of up to 120,000 PHP.
Key responsibilities
- Review and analyse patient medical records to identify documentation deficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Communicate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation gaps and gather additional clinical information
- Provide expert guidance on coding accuracy and documentation compliance standards
- Conduct comprehensive audits of clinical documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices
- Identify and escalate high-risk documentation issues that may impact quality metrics, reimbursement, and patient safety
- Maintain detailed records of CDI interventions and their outcomes
- Collaborate with medical coding teams to ensure seamless integration between clinical documentation and coding processes
- Stay current with healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and documentation standards
- Support the implementation of documentation improvement initiatives and educational programmes
- Valid Philippine Health Registered Nurse (PHRN) license or professional Medical Coder certification
- Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in clinical documentation, medical coding, or related healthcare field
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Thorough understanding of clinical documentation requirements and healthcare compliance standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in medical terminology and clinical documentation systems
- Demonstrated ability to review medical records with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently in a work-from-home environment whilst meeting productivity targets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify documentation improvement opportunities
- Preferred: Experience with CDI auditing tools, quality assurance processes, or healthcare revenue cycle management
