Consultant-Bookkeeping
<p>Our client, a leading consumer goods firm, is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable <strong>Bookkeeper</strong> to manage day-to-day accounting operations, with the capability to support businesses in the UK. The role focuses on core bookkeeping responsibilities including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, invoice processing, expense tracking, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with compliance requirements.</p><p>The ideal candidate will spend the first month organizing and cleaning up existing books, streamlining reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy of financial entries, and setting up structured reporting to support smooth finance operations.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><br><br><strong>1. Bookkeeping & Financial Operations</strong></p><p>Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and record transactions accurately in Xero.</p><p>Maintain general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow tracking.</p><p>Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.<br> </p><p><br><strong>2. Reporting & Data Management</strong></p><p>Consolidate financial data across selling channels, including e-commerce platforms.</p><p>Prepare daily/monthly sales reports and support VAT workings (UK compliance).</p><p>Assist in preparing financial summaries and management reports.<br> </p><p><br><strong>3. Compliance & Coordination</strong></p><p>Ensure records align with UK accounting and tax requirements.</p><p>Coordinate with external accountants for statutory filings and audits.<br> </p><p><br><strong>4. Systems & Process Support</strong></p><p>Maintain accurate records within Xero accounting software.</p><p>Support basic automation and data consolidation across systems<br><br><strong>Note- </strong><br><strong>Capacity- Part-Time (4-5hours per day)</strong><br><strong>Mode- Remote/ Delhi NCR (preferred)</strong><br><strong>Duration - 6 Months</strong></p>
