Your Role:

As a Copywriter – Deals & News Editing, you will review, edit, and prepare AI-assisted legal deal and news content for publication. You'll work within a fast-paced content pipeline where AI supports content creation while human editors ensure that every article meets the required standards for accuracy, clarity, tone, and quality.

What You'll Do:

  • Review, edit, and refine AI-generated articles for grammar, clarity, structure, tone, and factual accuracy.
  • Draft, polish, and prepare legal deal and financial news articles for publication on the client's platform.
  • Work through a pipeline of pre-generated articles and prioritize content based on publishing requirements and deadlines.
  • Edit content efficiently while maintaining a consistent editorial voice and quality standard.
  • Verify key details and ensure published content is clear, accurate, and appropriately presented.
  • Work with AI-assisted content workflows to improve speed and editorial efficiency.
  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to support research, editing, drafting, and content production where appropriate.
  • Learn and consistently apply established editorial guidelines and formatting standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide or receive feedback to maintain content quality.
  • As the team grows, experienced team members may assist with training and supporting junior editors.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

  • Professional experience in copywriting, content editing, journalism, proofreading, or a related field.
  • Excellent written English with strong grammar, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing factual, legal, and financial information.
  • Ability to edit AI-generated content efficiently while maintaining accuracy, readability, and an appropriate editorial tone.
  • Ability to quickly learn and consistently apply a specific editorial style and tone.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet quick turnaround requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a technology-driven and evolving environment.

Preferred skills/expertise

  • Experience writing or editing news, financial markets, legal, business, or professional content.
  • Familiarity with legal deal reporting or financial news is an advantage.
  • Experience working with AI-generated or AI-assisted content.
  • Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI content and productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with content management systems or publishing platforms such as Strapi.
  • Working knowledge of standard office, collaboration, and content publishing tools.
