DevOps Automation Engineer
Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable monitoring and automation solutions on AWS. • Continuously improve the existing DevOps platform through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. • Build capabilities around emerging DevOps tools and technologies aligned with business needs. • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams. • Advise stakeholders and customers on modern DevOps practices, tools, and automation strategies. • Define and enforce DevOps processes, standards, and best practices. • Ensure compliance with security policies and implement DevSecOps practices. • Lead technical discussions, solution design, and delivery execution. Jira & Confluence Administration • Administer and manage Jira and Confluence environments ensuring high availability and performance. • Customize workflows, permissions, dashboards, and reports. • Configure and manage plugins, integrations, APIs, and webhooks. • Provide user support, training, and documentation (runbooks, workflows). • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into tool configurations. Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills • Strong experience with AWS Cloud (Public & Private) services: o Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate o Route53, ELB/NLB o CloudWatch, IAM, VPC o Auto Scaling, AWS CLI, CloudFormation • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration: o Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, Kops) • Expertise in monitoring & observability tools: o Grafana, Prometheus, Fluentd • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines: o Jenkins (master/slave configuration) • Proficiency in DevOps tools: o GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Kibana • Strong scripting skills: o Groovy, Python, Ruby, Go Infrastructure & Automation • Experience with Infrastructure as Code: o CloudFormation (required), Terraform (preferred) • Configuration management tools: o Ansible (preferred) • Experience with auto-scaling and cloud architecture design principles • Knowledge of configuration-as-code and documentation-as-code Systems & Networking • Solid understanding of: o AWS networking and security o DevSecOps principles o Reverse proxy servers (NGINX) • Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux administration • Understanding of AWS billing and cost optimization Experience Requirements • 10–12 years of overall IT experience • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization • Proven experience building Docker containers across multiple technologies • Strong experience working in Agile environments Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills • Advanced Kubernetes administration (cluster upgrades, scaling, best practices) • Experience with Terraform and Ansible • Strong background in AWS networking and security architectures Soft Skills • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Leadership mindset with mentoring capabilities • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
