DevOps Engineer, AWS, Terraform
Job Description:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments
- Manage Infrastructure as Code to create consistent, repeatable, and reliable environments
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across cloud environments
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes and platform reliability
- Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management best practices
- Support containerised workloads and orchestration platforms
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues across development and production environments
- Manage cloud networking, IAM policies, security groups, and access controls
- Contribute to disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability solutions
- Improve platform security, scalability, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- Maintain technical documentation and infrastructure standards
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering role
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, and Route 53
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar
- Strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Docker and containerisation technologies
- Strong understanding of Linux system administration
- Experience using Git for source control and collaborative development
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security best practices, and identity management
- Experience monitoring cloud environments with CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams
- Experience with Kubernetes is advantageous
- Experience managing multi-account AWS environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of Bash, Python, or PowerShell is advantageous
- Experience with Ansible is advantageous
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks is advantageous
- Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments is advantageous
- AWS certifications are advantageous
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or highly regulated industries is advantageous
