Accounting & BIR Compliance Assistant (Part-Time)

Work Schedule

  • Part-Time
  • Two (2) days per week
  • Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or as agreed)
  • Reports to the Office in Imus, Cavite

Key Responsibilities

BIR Compliance

  • Prepare and encode BIR reports and schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), Creditable Withholding Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax, and other tax returns as required.
  • Organize and maintain BIR records, tax returns, official receipts, invoices, and supporting documents.
  • Monitor filing deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
  • Coordinate with the company's external accountant when necessary.

Bookkeeping

  • Encode supplier invoices, official receipts, and expenses into Xero.
  • Record collections, payments, and bank transactions.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Assist in monthly reconciliation of accounts.
  • Organize digital and physical accounting files.

Administrative Support

  • Prepare schedules and reports requested by management.
  • Maintain proper filing of contracts, invoices, and payment records.
  • Assist in monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Accounting, Accountancy, Financial Management, or any related business course.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply;

    experience in bookkeeping or BIR compliance is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of BIR regulations and tax filing procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience using Xero Accounting Software is preferred but not required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Honest, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with eBIRForms and/or eFPS.
  • Basic bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of withholding taxes and VAT.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

  • Part-Time
  • Two (2) days per week
  • Daily Rate: ₱1,000–₱1,200 (depending on experience and qualifications)
