Position Overview We're looking for a bright and enthusiastic Math Tutor to join our team. As a Math Tutor, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, participating in positive interactions with parents, and establishing a high level of confidence and program value. This is a part-time role with 3-4 hours shifts Monday - Friday afternoons and Saturday morning. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs and learning styles. Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value, and keeping them informed about their child's progress. Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using technology to enhance the learning experience. Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, which include individualized instruction in a group setting. Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students. Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, adhering to high standards of quality and safety. Assist with non-teaching and instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's success. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: A passion for math and working with students, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on their lives. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members. Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving. Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, demonstrating organizational and time management skills. Willingness to learn and be trained, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in education or tutoring, with a proven track record of success. Familiarity with the Mathnasium Method and teaching practices, or a willingness to learn and adapt. Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels, with a patient and supportive approach.
