Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing medical documents, including highly technical terminology with specialized vocabularies, from various medical disciplines. You will work with a team of professionals to provide accurate and timely transcription services to our clients. Key Responsibilities Transcribe medical documents, including highly technical terminology with specialized vocabularies, from various medical disciplines, such as outpatient clinics, emergency room, radiology, behavioral health, acute care, and long-term care. Correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, utilizing automated spell and grammar check, referring to medical dictionaries and reference sources when needed. Insert proper pronunciation and arrange material in standard format. Meet turnaround times from 4 hours to 24 hours, providing service seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays. Provide complete customer support, including an off-site transcription system managed by the contractor and complete transcription support for dictated medical documents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including holidays. Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely transcription services to our clients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have 2 years of acute care experience, to include but not limited to Operation Reports, Discharge Summaries, History and Physicals, and general office notes of various specialties. A certificate from a Medical Transcription Program, or equivalent experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications We are looking for candidates with Experience working in a medical transcription environment. Knowledge of medical transcription software and systems. Ability to work in a remote environment. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications. Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and other medical software.
