About the Role

We are seeking a Front End Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive, high-performance web applications. This role requires strong expertise in React and TypeScript, a product mindset, and a passion for delivering excellent user experiences. You will work in a small, collaborative team environment, contributing to SaaS products where long-term ownership, scalability, and performance are key.

Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)

  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience, including at least 3 years of sustained work within a single company, product, or dedicated project team
  • Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and GitHub
  • Experience working in small, agile, and highly collaborative teams
  • Exposure to SaaS products or SaaS based features, with an understanding of scalability and performance in production environments
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with back-end services via RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Familiarity with cloud storage services such as Amazon S3
  • Open to applicants with a conducive workspace at home.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails for integration purposes
  • Basic understanding of PostgreSQL for front-end integration
  • Familiarity with AWS services beyond S3
  • Experience working with TinyMCE 7
  • Exposure to CI CD pipelines
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using React and TypeScript
  • Translate UI and UX designs into high-quality, maintainable front-end code
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
  • Integrate front-end components with back-end services using RESTful APIs
  • Manage and optimise asset storage and delivery using Amazon S3
  • Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers
  • Maintain a clean, well-documented version control using GitHub
  • Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimisation of front-end code
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and best practices
