Full-Cycle Closer, US Field Service SaaS (Long-Term, Uncapped Bonus) - Contract to Hire
Tearsheet:
Read the hours first. If they do not work, stop here and save us both the time.
This seat runs on US Eastern early mornings, 7am to 12pm.
Contractors answer the phone before their first job and after
their last one.
There is no version of this role that runs on local business hours in Asia. If that schedule is not something you can hold long term, this is not the one.
What we are
Foundry Connects. A mobile-first field service platform for independent contractors across more than 100 trades. Estimates, invoicing, scheduling, payments, job tracking. Built for the person in the truck, not the office.
We are bootstrapped and founder-owned. We launched commercially this summer. Roughly fifteen people across engineering, sales, design, automation and operations. You would be the third person in sales.
Our entry plan is $99 a month and includes three seats. The comparable tier at the two largest competitors runs $329 to $349, because their cheap plans are built for one person and the tier that matches our feature set is priced for eight or ten users. That gap is the pitch. You are not selling a discount. You are selling the fact that we did not make a three person crew buy ten seats.
The seat
Full cycle. You source it, you run discovery, you demo it, you close it, and you keep the account afterward.
There is nobody to hand off to. That is the job, and it is why we are not hiring an appointment setter.
You will not be starting from a cold list and a phone. We run paid social driving inbound, plus outbound sequences built on Apollo, Zoho and n8n by a dedicated automation lead. Leads come to you. What you own is turning them into paying subscribers and keeping them.
We do not oversell. We are deliberately lean on features and we do not promise roadmap to win a signature. If you are used to closing on things that do not exist yet, this will feel strange.
How this works
An ongoing hourly contract, plus performance bonuses on the deals you close.
The bonus structure is the reason to take this seriously. It is not a one-time payment per deal. You continue earning on an account for a full twelve months while it stays with us, and the rate does not decay across those months. Accounts stack. A rep closing steadily is earning on work from ten months ago at the same time as this month's.
Uncapped. No holdbacks. Full structure shared before any contract is offered, so you can do the math yourself.
Be clear-eyed about the shape. The hourly is the floor. The bonus is the offer. If you want a high hourly with a small variable, we are the wrong seat and there is no hard feeling in that.
Who this fits
You have called US home service businesses before. HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, solar, pest control, landscaping. You know what a contractor sounds like when he is standing in someone's driveway and does not want to talk to you.
You have closed, not just booked. If your history is appointment setting and handoffs, this is a stretch, and we would rather you say so than hope.
You want something ongoing, not a project. We are looking for someone still here in two years, which is why the bonus runs twelve months per account.
Who this does not fit
Anyone who needs a mature enablement function. Our playbook is being written right now and you would be helping write it.
Anyone who cannot hold the hours above.
Anyone who needs a high fixed rate to feel secure. That is a reasonable thing to need. It is just not this seat.
Screening questions
Put these in Upwork's Questions section rather than asking for them in a cover letter.
Name a US home service company or vertical you have sold into, and what you were selling.
Describe one deal you closed end to end. How you sourced it, what the objection was, and how long the cycle ran.
A contractor says he will not buy without a feature we do not have and are not building. What do you say to him?
Have you worked US Eastern early mornings on a sustained basis? For how long?
Short answers are fine. Specific answers are better. We reply to everyone who answers all four.
