Your role

As a Finance Operations Senior Officer at Alter Domus, you will serve as a key contributor and subject matter expert within the Finance Operations team. You will take ownership of client relationships, lead the onboarding of new clients and datasets, and help mentor and develop junior team members. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in alternative investments data management and portfolio reporting to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality services to our clients, while driving continuous improvement across processes and reporting.

Your responsibilities

Process and enter critical alternative investment information (capital calls, distributions, and valuations) for clients into a workflow/performance system

Prepare cash reconciliations as well as wires for cash movements

Reconcile agreed-upon metrics, including unfunded commitments, IRR, and MOIC, and exchange data flows with clients' platforms

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the customized services provided to clients

Onboard, train, and assist with performance reviews for direct reports

Serve as the primary point of contact for client needs, onboard new clients and historical data

Analyze and onboard new clients' datasets

Serve as an expert in alternative investments data management and portfolio reporting

Assist with portfolio analysis and monitoring, risk management, and reporting

Review client net worth reports to ensure that alternative data entered by the team is accurate

Assist clients with report design and improvement

Your profile

Microsoft Suite experience, including proficiency in Excel

Highly organized and proactive, with follow-through on commitments

Personal and professional integrity

Strong work ethic, responsiveness, and passion for customer service and quality

Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work with team members and management remotely

Ability to follow instructions and receive feedback and review comments on work prepared

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Audit, Economics, or a related field

3–4 years of Finance Operations experience (or similar)

Fund Accounting/Alternative Investment experience is a plus but not required
