We're currently conducting research with hospitals across the Philippines to identify the biggest opportunities for AI automation.
About the Role
We are looking for a Healthcare Research & AI Innovation Intern based in the Philippines to help us understand how hospitals operate and identify real-world problems that can be solved using AI.This is not a laboratory or academic research position.
You'll work directly with hospitals by interviewing administrators, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to understand their daily workflows and operational challenges.
Your findings will directly influence the products Deooch builds.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with hospital staff and administrators.
- Visit hospitals and clinics when required.
- Perform workflow discovery and process mapping.
- Conduct AI Readiness Assessments using Deooch's questionnaire.
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and operational bottlenecks.
- Document findings using structured reports.
- Research existing Hospital Information Systems (HIS), EMRs, and healthcare software used in the Philippines.
- Gather examples of forms, workflows, and operational documents (where permitted).
- Summarise findings and present recommendations to the Deooch product team.
- Help identify opportunities for AI automation across hospital departments.
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills.
- Comfortable speaking with healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Organised and detail-oriented.
- Curious and passionate about healthcare innovation.
- Comfortable using Google Docs, Excel, and presentation tools.
- Final-year student or recent graduate in:

- Previous exposure to hospitals or healthcare operations is a plus.
- Understanding of hospital workflows is an advantage but not required.
