Home Care Aide
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Aide to provide non-medical care and support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying living spaces)
- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs)
- Provide medication reminders (does not administer medication unless certified/permitted by state law)
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities
- Monitor and report changes in client's physical or mental condition to the care team or family
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Follow individualized care plans developed by the agency and/or healthcare provider
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, HHA, or in a related caregiving role preferred (not always required — training provided)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel between clients is required)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and assist with client transfers as needed
- Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy demeanor
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Bilingual abilities a plus
- Familiarity with electronic visit verification (EVV) systems
Work Environment
- In-home care setting; schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts
- Travel between multiple client homes may be required
Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
