About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Home Health Virtual Assistant to provide administrative and documentation support for a U.S.-based home health agency.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse or medical professional with previous home health experience, strong knowledge of healthcare documentation, and the ability to work independently with minimal training.

Responsibilities

  • Upload, scan, organize, and maintain patient documents in electronic medical records
  • Monitor patient documentation for completeness and required signatures
  • Track physician orders, Plans of Care, certifications, and recertifications
  • Follow up with physicians and healthcare providers regarding outstanding documentation
  • Maintain accurate follow-up and documentation logs
  • Assist with medical record requests and retrieval
  • Organize, label, and properly index patient records
  • Monitor pending and overdue documentation
  • Assist with administrative home health workflows
  • Handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies

The role is focused on administrative and documentation support. Clinical decisions, patient assessment, and patient-care responsibilities remain with authorized healthcare personnel.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) OR have a medical/healthcare-related degree
  • Previous Home Health experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience as a Home Health VA / Medical VA is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Kinnser/WellSky
  • Strong understanding of home health documentation and workflows
  • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable handling confidential patient information
  • Must be willing to work night shift
  • Must have a reliable work-from-home setup
