Immediate Hire 2D Character Designers

<p>Bento Box Animation Studios Atlanta is currently looking for exceptional 2D Character Designers for an upcoming 2D animated series. These are immediate-hire positions. We are seeking 2D Concept Designers for either in-studio or remote work. This is a short-term project with no additional benefits available at this time.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is deadline-driven and capable of handling fast turnaround times for a 2D animated production. You must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and be willing to take and follow direction. Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of file management and organization are essential. Excellent communication skills are required, as working closely with coworkers and directors will be a key part of the role. We are looking for someone who is passionate, creative, motivated, and shares our love of cartoons.</p> <p>Responsibilities:<br /> – Designing Original Characters: Create 2D sketches, inked and colored illustrations, and concepts to define and communicate each character’s look and feel. You will be expected to develop style guides, expression sheets, and character turnarounds.<br /> – Variations: Create multiple concepts for a single character. Maintain a cohesive style and vision across all artwork while experimenting with different silhouettes.<br /> – Character Turnarounds: Provide front, back, and side views to support 2D rigging and animation teams.<br /> – Expression Sheets: Illustrate a range of facial expressions and emotions that reflect the character’s personality.<br /> – Visual Storytelling Through Design: Use visual elements to convey a character’s background, personality, and role in the story.</p> <p>Qualifications:<br /> – Ability to work in-studio or remotely.<br /> – Two (2) or more years of professional experience.<br /> – Prior experience designing characters for 2D animated projects.<br /> – Proficiency in Photoshop (portfolio submission required). Please provide password access if needed.<br /> – Previous experience in broadcast animation and knowledge of a studio production pipeline are highly valued.<br /> – This role is open to both Georgia residents and non-residents.
