Internal Coach

Job Description Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. Kamusta, hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point. Where and how you can work Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia, but with many of our Canvanauts calling the Philippines home, our office in Manila is a buzzing place. Whether your role needs you in the office, at home or a bit of both, we've created an environment that truly empowers you to thrive. What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. Canva has a dedicated Internal Coaching Team , made up of professional coaches sitting inside the People function, as part of the People Experience Group. This isn't a traditional executive coaching or L&D role. It's a specialist coaching function focused on mindset and behaviour change, not skills training and not performance management. The purpose of the Internal Coaching team is to create radical mindset transformation , helping Canvanauts: - identify and overcome self sabotage and limiting beliefs - unlock strengths and potential - create lasting behavioural change While coaching conversations may sometimes resemble psychology, the approach stays coaching-led: future-focused, action-focused, and built for meaningful change rather than long-term therapeutic support. At the moment, this role is focused on: 1:1 Coaching - Structured 6-session coaching journeys, delivered fortnightly, one hour per session, over roughly 3 months. - Developmental, not directive. Coaches don't tell people what to do they help coachees shift the beliefs and patterns underneath their behaviour, not just the behaviour itself.' - Each coach typically carries 15 to 28 active coachees at a time, depending on their other program load. - Coaches also deliver Breakthrough Sessions: focused, single 60-minute sessions for someone working through one specific decision or pressure point. - Around 60% of each week is dedicated to 1:1 coaching. Group Coaching - Coaches design and deliver group coaching programs such as a 3 month group coaching program focused on self-confidence and resilience, ran several times a year. - Contribute and facilitating Leadership Programs at Canva Team coaching - Our Internal Coaches also facilitate team coaching requests. These are often 90min-2hr unblocking sessions, which are either once or or sometimes part of a longer team development journey. Program contribution - Alongside direct coaching, the work includes - designing coaching experiences and resources - contributing specialist expertise - attending team meetings - participating in working groups You're probably a match if you: - You bring a minimum of 5 years of dedicated professional 1:1 coaching experience, where coaching has been your primary role rather than one part of a broader HR, L&D, or people leadership position. - You have completed formal, recognised coach-specific training and accreditation, such as Meta-Coaching, Co-Active Coaching, Coach Masters Academy, Master Coaching Certification, Professional Coaching Certification, or another recognised transformational coaching methodology. - You have experience coaching individuals across different levels , rather than exclusively coaching senior leaders. - You bring deep transformational coaching capability and can explore root causes rather than focusing only on surface-level behaviours. - You have a strong understanding of transformational coaching methodologies . What's in it for you? Achieving our crazy big goals motivates us to work hard - and we do - but you'll experience lots of moments of magic, connectivity and fun woven throughout life at Canva, too. We also offer a stack of benefits to set you up for every success in and outside of work. Other stuff to know We make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills and passion, as well as how you can enhance Canva and our culture. We celebrate all types of skills and backgrounds at Canva so even if you don’t feel like your skills quite match what’s listed above - we still want to hear from you Please note that interviews a
