IT Specialist (Excel Macro & Process Automation) - Remote

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to lead and maintain our global IT infrastructure. This role combines strategic oversight, technical leadership, and hands-on IT management into one dynamic position. You’ll ensure smooth operations across servers, networks, firewalls, devices, and software platforms, while strengthening cybersecurity, overseeing data protection, and supporting teams worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
  • Oversee servers, networks, firewalls, devices, and software platforms across global offices
  • Manage Google Workspace operations, including user creation/archiving, group management, security settings, compliance, backups, and billing
  • Maintain post-production and backup workflows with storage systems such as Wasabi, Frame.io, LucidLink, and LTO archival processes
Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Lead penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and staff security training
  • Monitor firewalls, endpoint management tools, and other security systems
  • Maintain IT policies and support ISO27001 audits and risk assessments
  • Act as Data Protection Officer to oversee GDPR compliance and manage data protection incidents
Team & Vendor Management
  • Manage internal IT teams, including technical support and regional IT contacts
  • Coordinate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee IT budgets
  • Ensure alignment of IT procurement and operations with sustainability and organisational goals
Digital Tools Administration add
  • Administer essential digital tools such as 1Password, Addigy, Adobe, and other company-wide platforms
  • Provide hands-on IT support in the London office and remote assistance for global teams
Process Automation & Business Systems
  • Design, develop, and maintain Excel VBA macros and automation tools to streamline business processes
  • Create automated reports, dashboards, and data management solutions using advanced Excel functions and VBA
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process automation
  • Support finance, HR, and operational teams with workflow automation and reporting solutions
  • Maintain documentation and ensure business continuity for automation systems
What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in IT infrastructure management (servers, networks, firewalls, cloud platforms)
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, ISO27001, and GDPR compliance
  • Proficiency in IT asset lifecycle management, post-production workflows, and backup systems
Leadership & Management Skills
  • Experience leading multiple IT and cross-functional teams
