As we continue to expand our engineering capabilities, we are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on IT Tech Lead to take ownership of our technical operations, engineering standards, and development delivery across multiple platforms and projects.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership role suited to a technically exceptional engineer who thrives in both coding and team leadership environments. You will lead a cross-functional engineering team while remaining actively involved in architecture, development, code reviews, deployment processes, and technical decision-making.

You will serve as the primary technical authority across mobile, web, infrastructure, and DevOps functions while working closely with stakeholders, product teams, and developers to ensure successful project delivery and scalable engineering practices.

This role is ideal for a strong “player-coach” who can confidently transition between hands-on development, technical leadership, mentoring, delivery management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Lead the overall technical direction and architecture across web, mobile, and cloud platforms
  • Define engineering standards, development processes, and coding best practices
  • Drive scalability, security, performance, and reliability across all systems
  • Review and approve technical designs, architecture decisions, and implementation strategies
  • Identify opportunities for system optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Lead root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and incident response activities
Hands-On Development
  • Contribute directly to the codebase across mobile and web platforms
  • Develop production-quality applications, APIs, and backend services
  • Build scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions
  • Perform code reviews and maintain high-quality engineering standards
  • Collaborate closely with developers to solve complex technical challenges
Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional engineering team
  • Conduct performance reviews, technical coaching, and career development planning
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and team growth initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture
  • Manage developer workloads, priorities, and project timelines
Project & Delivery Management
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, product teams, and clients
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and technical workstreams
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives
DevOps & Infrastructure
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and DevOps practices
  • Improve deployment automation, testing, and operational reliability
  • Ensure proper security, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery procedures are in place
