Java / J2EE Developer (Remote) – Junior to Mid Level with Security Clearance

<p>Position: Java / J2EE Developer<br />Location: Washington, DC (Remote)<br />Duration: 12+ months contract Job Description:<br />List of Tasks to be Performed:<br />• Work under the guidance of senior developers or architects<br />• Write, test, and maintain efficient Java/J2EE code.<br />• Implement application features using frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, or Struts.<br />• Participate in the development of RESTful or SOAP web services.<br />• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into working code.<br />• Collaborate with business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.<br />• Follow established coding standards and best practices.<br />• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from peers and seniors.<br />• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.<br />• Debug and resolve application issues, escalating complex problems as needed.<br />• Document code, processes, and application configurations.<br />• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for assigned modules.<br />• Work with cross-functional teams (QA, UI/UX, DevOps) to deliver project goals.<br />• Communicate progress and blockers to project leads or managers.<br />• Stay updated with new Java/J2EE technologies and tools.<br />• Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities.<br />• Develop and maintain database queries and stored procedures.<br />• Assist in application deployment and post-deployment support.<br />• Perform code refactoring and optimization as directed.<br />• Contribute to troubleshooting production issues.<br />• Support junior developers with technical guidance when needed. Required Experience Level:<br />• 5 Years of experience<br />• Solid understanding in Java/J2EE development for building robust applications and related frameworks<br />• Ability to develop code that integrates with Kafka for efficient data processing<br />• Experience working with AWS or Azure middleware services such as AWS SQS and EventBridge<br />• Capability to set up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing<br />• Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps for pipeline configuration<br />• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for enhanced productivity (highly preferred)<br />• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and optimizing code performance<br />• Effective reasoning abilities to design scalable and efficient solutions<br />• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders<br />• Understanding of cloud services and architectures for seamless integration with AWS or Azure platforms<br />• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Spring MVC<br />• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3<img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking. aspx?OfViycXwSzR65Ugruuay1gv" width="0" height="0"></p> <hr class="lis-container__job__content__description__hr">
