Lead/Senior Functional Consultant - (Business Central)

Business Requirements

Analysis &

  • Functional Validation

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and processes from clients and stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into functional specifications, test scenarios, and validation criteria.
  • Review business processes and system functionalities to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Support process mapping, gap analysis, and solution validation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements.

2.

Quality

Assurance &

  • Functional Testing

  • Develop and execute functional test cases, scripts, and scenarios based on requirements.
  • Perform system, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Log, track, and document defects, inconsistencies, and process gaps.
  • Coordinate with developers and technical consultants for issue resolution and validation.
  • Ensure solutions meet quality standards and business requirements before deployment.

Client

Support &

  • Solution Validation

  • Support clients during testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
  • Validate configured solutions against business requirements and workflows.
  • Participate in walkthroughs, demos, and user validation sessions.
  • Monitor and resolve functional issues raised by users and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction through accurate testing and responsive support.

4. Documentation &

  • Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain documentation including business requirements, test plans, test cases, defect logs, process flows, and user guides.
  • Ensure proper recording of test results, issue resolutions, and project activities.
  • Comply with project methodologies, quality standards, and governance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of functional findings and testing outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement in QA and delivery processes.

Project

Collaboration &

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, technical consultants, and developers.
  • Participate in meetings, requirement discussions, testing reviews, and validation sessions.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and improvement of testing practices.
  • Stay updated on Business Central features, updates, and industry best practices.
  • Continuously develop functional, analytical, and QA competencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in ERP systems, Business Analysis, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 are an advantage.
  • Experience in ERP implementation projects and system configuration.
  • Knowledge of business process mapping and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience preparing functional specifications, user guides, and training materials.

Skills &

  • Competencies:

  • Knowledge or familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Understanding of business processes such as Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Operations.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to conduct user training and provide system support.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Experience:

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in ERP implementation, business systems support, functional consulting, or related technical/business roles is an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP systems is preferred.
