Manager, Programming and Content Curation

### Overview of the Position This is a leadership role within Disney Entertainment, the organization that brings together Disney’s product, technology, and commercialization teams globally. As the Manager (or Senior Manager) of Programming and Content Curation for Disney+ Philippines, you will be the driving force behind how our subscribers discover and engage with content. Based in Taguig, you will shape editorial initiatives that boost content discovery, viewing time, and ultimately subscriber retention and lifetime value. ### What You'll Work On - \*\*Data - Driven Programming:\*\* You'll leverage service metrics, market insights, and audience research to build effective programming strategies. This includes creating high-impact, curated events that highlight the best of Disney’s brands and franchises. - **Daily Slate Management:** Oversee the day-to-day content slate—planning, curating, building, publishing, and managing Disney+ content through our curation tools. Accuracy and efficiency are key to maximizing audience engagement and retention. - \*\*Cross - Functional Collaboration:\*\* Partner with operational teams to ensure content and asset availability supports your curation strategies. Work closely with Growth and Brand & Content Marketing teams to align on content priorities. You'll also collaborate with regional and territorial editorial teams on curation and promotion. - **Analytics & Insights:** Pull and analyze data to gain performance insights around audiences, titles, platforms, and other elements. Share these insights with the broader organization, including executives and global teams. - **Operational Efficiency:** Drive improvements in processes and communication, working closely with programmers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth operations. ### Who We're Looking For **Professional Qualifications:** - A bachelor’s degree is required. - Fluent in English, both spoken and written. - Deep understanding of The Walt Disney Company’s content library, brands, franchises, and characters. - Experience with sports content and operations is preferred. - Comprehensive expertise in digital or sports media platforms, including hands-on management of web, app, streaming, and connected devices. - Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. - Prior experience in the streaming industry is considered an advantage. - Previous experience in data analysis would be a plus. **Skills That Set You Apart:** - You adopt a challenging and questioning approach, proposing creative solutions. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations. - Demonstrated ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment. - A collaborative team player who builds trust, fosters open communication, and contributes to shared success. - Agile and proactive—quick to learn or adapt to new tools as needed. - Meticulous attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. - Creative mindset with the ability to leverage data to develop strategy and decisions. - PC / computer systems literate is a must. Expert level in Excel, Power. Point, Keynote, Google Docs, and other relevant software. Proficiency in Airtable is preferred. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Programming and Content Curation.
