Marketplace Platform Testing & Release Analyst

The job holder will be part of a cross-company team supporting American Express Global Business Travel supply technology initiatives. The job holder will play a critical role with the expansion of Amex GBT’s Marketplace Platform (MPP), executing Functional and Integration Feature Testing while ensuring the right testing environments are maintained.

What You'll Do

Functional & Business Testing:
  • Assist in project specific testing (e.g., MPP Hotel/Air Expansion) per priorities and requirements assigned by the Project and Product Teams.
  • Drive functional and business testing to ensure MPP has access to the right content and inventory.
  • Perform Point of Sale and downstream integration testing on all applications and system processes available in a country.
Test Strategies focusing on the GBT ecosystem:
  • Work with Product Management to ensure the feature is fit for purpose and work with them to identify and manage risks & issues.
  • Formulate and execute solid test plans with clear owners and sign-off criteria.
  • Identification of suitable test data and testing tools to be used during testing.
  • Maintain Open Issues log, help identify workarounds.
Test Environment Configurations & Maintenance:
  • Ensure test environments are pointed to the right supply settings.
  • Ensure vendors are pointed to the correct test environments.
  • Carry out regular test environment reviews to ensure they are optimized and ready.
Assist the Manager with Release Cycle Processes:
  • Assist with risk management and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Coordinate and thoroughly document release content based on the product development backlog.
  • Communicate all feature release, hotfixes or service pack related plans.
  • Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Assist Manager with Supply Technology Channels Certification:
  • Ensure Point of Sale Tools and Applications connected to the GBT Supply MarketPlace Platform are routinely certified and ready to adopt all new features.
  • Document by Point of Sale Tool and Application, acceptance or not of features, in addition to date of sign-off and successful implementation.
Relationship Management / Partners with:
  • Supply R&D Teams in collaboration with Product to ensure all features have been developed per original specifications and for the stability of test environments.
  • Vendors & other parties powering PoS Tools & Applications connected to the GBT Supply MarketPlace Platform to ensure certification of all changes.
  • MPP Product Support to ensure their awareness and readiness to offer support on new features – as needed.
  • 3rd party GDS & Non-GDS Connectors to ensure timely resolution on issue escalations to their technical teams and excellent operational management.

What We're Looking For
  • Educated to University Degree level.
  • Strong experience as a Test Analyst with mandatory travel industry experience.
  • Able to work with SMEs, understand business processes & convert into test plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to identify key issues and enact a mitigation plan.
  • Able to work effectively in a complex, diverse, global and fast agile environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, juggling tight deadlines with focus on quality.
  • Solid follow through with minimal management.
