Job Summary

Our client is seeking a D365 Consultant (Business Central) with strong functional ERP consulting experience to lead and support end-to-end implementation, optimization, and support projects. The role involves facilitating discovery workshops, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and translating them into functional designs and system configurations across key areas such as finance, purchasing, sales, and inventory.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support end-to-end D365 Business Central implementations, assessments, and optimization projects
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to gather, analyze, and document business requirements across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, and related operational workflows
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs, configuration decisions, and recommend best practices within Business Central
  • Configure core Business Central capabilities, including financial management, sales, purchasing, inventory, approvals, dimensions, and reporting setups
  • Partner with technical consultants and developers on extensions, integrations, data migration, reporting, and issue resolution
  • Plan and execute testing activities, support user acceptance testing, and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements
  • Deliver end-user training, system walkthroughs, and process documentation to support adoption and long-term success
  • Provide go-live and post-go-live support, troubleshoot functional issues, and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on ERP process improvement and Business Central capabilities
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, solution development, and mentoring of junior team members as appropriate
Key Job Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or a similar mid-market ERP solution
  • Experience as a functional consultant, business analyst, solution consultant, or subject matter expert in ERP implementations
  • Strong understanding of business processes in one or more of the following areas: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, sales, inventory, fixed assets, or basic operations
  • Ability to gather requirements, lead workshops, perform fit-gap analysis, and translate business needs into practical system solutions
  • Experience with configuration, testing, training, cutover, and post-go-live support in ERP projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and client-facing consulting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across project teams
  • Must be willing to work on a mid-shift or night-shift schedule.
