Microsoft Modern Work Engineer

SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Modern Work Engineer to design, implement, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Modern Work solutions across client environments. This is a hands-on engineering role focused primarily on Microsoft 365, with strong supporting expertise in Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on Microsoft Modern Work experience and has progressed beyond basic administration into implementation, technical troubleshooting, and escalation support. The role will be responsible for delivering Modern Work projects, resolving complex technical issues, improving client environments, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and service desk teams.

Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Copilot, Intune/Autopilot, PowerShell, and broader Microsoft 365 services is highly valued. MSP or consulting experience is preferred but not required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement, configure, maintain, and support Microsoft 365 Modern Work solutions across client environments.
  • Design and manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for modern endpoint management, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, security policies, and device lifecycle management.
  • Implement and support Windows Autopilot for device provisioning and deployment.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, licenses, authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity-related services.
  • Support hybrid identity environments and integrations involving Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Implement and support Microsoft Defender solutions and endpoint security capabilities.
  • Support Microsoft Copilot implementations and related Microsoft 365 Modern Work environments.
  • Use PowerShell to automate Microsoft 365 administration, troubleshooting, reporting, and repetitive operational tasks.
  • Provide advanced technical escalation support for complex Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and endpoint management issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop permanent solutions for recurring or complex technical issues.
  • Participate in Modern Work project implementations, from technical planning and configuration through testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
  • Review existing client environments and recommend improvements to security, performance, manageability, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with service desk teams, junior engineers, project stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful technical delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, implementation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Follow established change management, security, documentation, and service delivery processes.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Modern Work technologies and recommend improvements based on emerging capabilities and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Modern Work technologies in a production environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Hands-on experience administering and implementing Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, configuration, compliance, application deployment, endpoint security, and device management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, authentication methods, identity lifecycle management, and access controls.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Defender and/or Microsoft security solutions is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other Microsoft AI/Modern Work capabilities is preferred.
  • Hands-on PowerShell experience, particularly for Microsoft 365 administration, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows Autopilot and modern endpoint provisioning is highly preferred.
  • Experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Modern Work solutions rather than limited experience with basic administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle technical escalations independently.
  • Experience participating in IT projects, implementations, migrations, or technical solution deployments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of assigned technical problems from investigation through resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with service desk, engineering, project, and client-facing teams.
  • MSP or IT consulting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, SC-300, MS-102, or related Modern Work certifications are nice to have but not mandatory.
  • Candidates without certifications may be considered if they demonstrate strong relevant hands-on experience and willingness to obtain relevant certifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
  • Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.

Pay: From Php90,000.00 per month
