DESCON Engineering is seeking qualified Office Clerks to provide administrative and technical support for Planning Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors, and Project Engineers involved in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Heavy Industry projects. The successful candidates will assist with project documentation, permit administration, data management, engineering records, SAP system transactions, reporting, and coordination between project teams while ensuring efficient office operations and compliance with company procedures.
OFFICE CLERK (Planning Engineer/QAQC Inspector/Project Engineer)
Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die, Welding), or a related engineering discipline.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Heavy Industry is mandatory.
Knowledge and experience using SAP or similar back-office computer systems is highly preferred.
Good understanding of office administration, document control, and engineering support processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, QA/QC, project management, and construction teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English or Arabic.
Able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and clerical support to Planning Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors, and Project Engineers.
Prepare, organize, maintain, and archive engineering documents, inspection reports, project correspondence, and technical records.
Enter, update, and maintain project data using SAP and other company back-office systems.
Assist in preparing project schedules, progress reports, work packages, material tracking, and engineering documentation.
Coordinate document flow between engineering, quality, procurement, construction, and client representatives.
Maintain document control procedures to ensure records are complete, accurate, and properly filed.
Assist QA/QC personnel with inspection records, material certificates, test reports, and quality documentation.
Support planning teams by maintaining schedules, progress updates, and project databases.
Monitor incoming and outgoing correspondence and distribute documents to relevant departments.
Prepare meeting minutes, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as required.
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of project records and company documents.
Perform other office administration and project coordination duties assigned by management.
