Work Arrangement: Remote
Employment Type: Part-Time Contract
Project Duration: 3–6 Months (Extendable)
Work Schedule: Approximately 15–20 Hours per Week
Rate: Hourly basis

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Marketing Analytics and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) to support an Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) implementation. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring customer data, marketing requirements, and platform configurations align with business objectives.

This is more than a traditional requirements gathering role. You will evaluate solution designs, validate implementation strategies, review customer data models, and ensure the platform is configured to support measurable marketing outcomes. The ideal candidate combines business analysis expertise with strong data literacy and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for the Optimizely Data Platform implementation
  • Review and validate customer data architecture, schemas, and platform configuration
  • Analyze customer profiles, identity resolution rules, and behavioral tracking to ensure data accuracy
  • Translate marketing initiatives into detailed technical and functional requirements
  • Develop process maps illustrating customer data flow between CRM, eCommerce platforms, marketing systems, and ODP
  • Create and maintain functional specifications, data dictionaries, event tracking documentation, and process documentation
  • Design customer segmentation strategies to support lifecycle marketing and personalized customer experiences
  • Define KPI frameworks and reporting requirements to measure campaign performance and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, product, and data teams throughout project delivery
  • Identify implementation risks, validate technical assumptions, and recommend improvements based on industry best practices

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience supporting Marketing Analytics, Customer Data Platforms, or digital marketing initiatives
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Exposure to enterprise system integrations, APIs, customer data, and event tracking
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) is highly preferred
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms such as Segment, Tealium, ActionIQ, Salesforce CDP, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of customer data architecture, identity resolution, and event-based tracking
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling concepts
  • Experience working with REST APIs and enterprise integrations
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and analysis is highly preferred

Nice To Have

  • Experience supporting eCommerce or lifecycle marketing initiatives
  • Knowledge of Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), customer segmentation, and behavioral marketing
  • Experience reviewing solution architecture and implementation roadmaps
