Part-Time Finance Manager for a DTC Brand (US-based/Remote)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Financial Manager to help maintain accurate financial data, strengthen internal checks and balances, and ensure clean information is handed over to our external accounting agency.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong finance/accounting background who is also comfortable using AI to improve and automate financial workflows. You’ll work across different departments, review financial information, identify discrepancies, and help streamline reconciliation processes using tools such as Claude and MCP connectors.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong internal checks and balances across departments before financial data is sent to the accounting agency
  • Review and audit invoices from shipping providers, vendors, and other suppliers for errors, overcharges, duplicate charges, and missed claims
  • Identify discrepancies and follow up with relevant teams or vendors to resolve issues
  • Consolidate financial reports and KPIs from different departments
  • Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Prepare clean and verified financial information for the external accounting agency
  • Liaise with the external accounting team and provide the necessary documentation and information
  • Help improve internal finance processes, reporting, and reconciliation workflows
  • Leverage AI tools such as Claude to automate repetitive reconciliation and finance-related tasks
  • Explore opportunities to build more efficient AI-powered workflows, instructions, and processes
  • Support additional finance-related tasks as needed

Requirements
  • Previous experience in finance, accounting, financial operations, or a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial data
  • Experience reviewing invoices, expenses, reconciliations, or financial reports
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams and external accounting partners
  • Genuine interest in using AI to improve finance and accounting workflows

Preferred
  • Experience working with remote or international companies
  • Experience working with external accounting firms/agencies
  • Experience in eCommerce, DTC, or other fast-paced businesses
