Photoshop/Illustrator Specialist — Product Listing Images at Volume (Ongoing)
# Photoshop/Illustrator Specialist — Product Listing Images at Volume (Ongoing)
## What we do
We're Lizton Sign Shop, a custom metal sign manufacturer in Indiana. We print on
aluminum composite panel and ship made-to-order, and we're a licensed GM/Corvette
partner. 8,500+ active Etsy listings, 39,000+ reviews at a 4.93 average, plus
Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Wayfair and our own Shopify stores.
We have a large backlog of finished designs and more arriving every week. Every one
of them needs a set of listing images before it can go live, and that step is our
bottleneck. That's this job.
## The work
You receive one flat piece of artwork per design. You deliver a finished image set,
named to our convention, ready to hand to our listing team.
**Five design-specific images:**
1. Sign on a dark rustic wood plank wall — this is the search thumbnail, so it matters most
2. A lifestyle scene, chosen from a library by category (coastal, farmhouse, garage, bar, cabin, kitchen)
3. Flat on white
4. Angled 3D view, left
5. Angled 3D view, right
**Two more we want to start doing per design:**
6. A multi-size comparison chart showing the real artwork at five sizes, to scale, in a room
7. A corner-detail close-up showing panel thickness and the aluminum/polyethylene/aluminum
layers, with the real artwork visible on the face
Four additional images are fixed templates that never change — you won't touch those.
Our signs have rounded corners, a printed inset border line, two mounting holes
centered top and bottom, and a 1/8″ panel. Mockups need to reflect that accurately:
correct corner radius, visible aluminum edge, artwork that follows the panel surface
rather than sitting flat on it.
We have finished examples of every image type. We'll send them. Matching them
consistently is the job — this is production work, not a redesign.
## Build the system while you're at it
We're paying per design, so speed is in your interest as much as ours. Build
whatever gets you there: smart-object PSDs, Photoshop actions, JSX scripting, a
mockup render API, batch processing. We'd rather you spend the first week building
tooling and then move fast than grind through them by hand.
Two conditions: the templates and scripts are delivered to us as work product and
we own them, and you leave behind enough documentation that our team can run them.
Some incoming artwork is AI-generated at roughly 1000×1500 pixels — fine for listing
images, nowhere near print resolution. If you have opinions about upscaling or vector
rebuild, we want to hear them.
## What you need
Real Photoshop smart-object skill — displacement maps, perspective warps, lighting
layers off the base photograph. Not stock templates with art dropped on top.
Illustrator for artwork prep. Photoshop scripting is a strong plus. Product
photography retouching background is a plus.
You do **not** need marketplace or SEO knowledge. That's a separate hire.
## How to apply
Skip the cover letter. Instead:
1. **Show us a smart-object mockup PSD you built yourself.** A screenshot of the
layer stack, or a short screen recording of you swapping the art. This is the
filter, and most applicants can't do this part.
2. Tell us how you'd approach the corner-detail shot specifically. It's the hardest
one and it tells us the most about you.
3. Quote a **per-design rate** for the full seven-image set, and tell us roughly how
many designs a week you could deliver once your tooling is set up.
## Terms
We'll start with a **paid test** — one design, full set. Fixed fee, quoted by you.
If it matches our existing images, this becomes steady ongoing work with hundreds of
designs waiting.
Tell us your time zone and your weekly availability.
