Our client is a growing organisation within the commercial cleaning and facilities services industry, delivering services to government agencies, schools, municipalities, and commercial organisations. They are seeking a Bid Writer to join their team on a long-term basis and play a key role in securing new business opportunities.

About the Role

As the Bid Writer, you will manage the preparation and coordination of tender submissions from initial review through to final submission. You'll analyse procurement documents, develop compelling proposal content, coordinate supporting information, and ensure every submission is compliant, professional, and submitted on time.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining research, writing, organisation, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Invitations to Tender (ITBs/IFBs), and other procurement opportunities
  • Analyse tender requirements and prepare compliance checklists
  • Write, edit and format high-quality proposal responses
  • Conduct research on clients, projects and procurement opportunities
  • Coordinate supporting documentation, references and required attachments
  • Manage proposal timelines and ensure submissions meet all requirements and deadlines
  • Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates and content libraries
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and produce winning submissions
  • Identify missing information, ask clarifying questions and proactively contribute throughout the bid process
About You We're looking for someone who has:
  • Exceptional written English and proofreading skills
  • Experience in bid writing, proposal writing, tender writing, grant writing, technical writing, procurement or business development
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of assigned work
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Google Docs and spreadsheets
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
Candidates with outstanding writing and research skills who are eager to learn are also encouraged to apply. Experience with government procurement platforms, proposal management software or AI-assisted writing tools is advantageous.
