About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Publishing Admin with hands-on experience publishing books, particularly ebooks, through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).This is a full-time remote position for someone who understands the book publishing process and is comfortable handling both publishing-related tasks and the administrative work that goes along with them.
You do not need to be a publishing manager or senior-level publishing expert. However, previous hands-on Amazon KDP experience is required. We are looking for someone who can confidently work within KDP, follow established processes, spot potential issues, and help keep publishing projects organized and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload and publish ebooks and other book formats through Amazon KDP
- Prepare and review book listings before publication
- Enter and manage titles, descriptions, author information, keywords, categories, pricing, and other book metadata
- Review manuscripts and publishing files for basic formatting and submission requirements
- Coordinate ebook covers, manuscripts, descriptions, and other publishing assets
- Check KDP submissions for errors or issues and help resolve publishing-related problems
- Update existing Amazon KDP book listings as needed
- Maintain organized records of books, publishing status, files, deadlines, and project information
- Perform quality checks before and after books go live
- Conduct basic research related to keywords, categories, competing titles, and book positioning
- Communicate clearly with team members regarding publishing status, missing materials, errors, and next steps
- Handle general administrative tasks related to publishing projects
- Follow documented processes and help improve publishing workflows as you become familiar with the role
- Previous hands-on experience with Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
- Experience assisting with the publication of ebooks and/or books
- Strong written and spoken English
- Good understanding of the ebook publishing process
- Strong attention to detail and ability to catch errors before publication
- Comfortable working with online platforms, spreadsheets, documents, and cloud-based tools
- Organized and able to manage multiple books or publishing projects at different stages
- Able to follow detailed instructions and established SOPs
- Reliable, responsive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Able and willing to work full-time during US business hours
- Experience with ebook or manuscript formatting
- Knowledge of Amazon KDP keywords and categories
- Experience with book metadata optimization
- Familiarity with KDP paperback or hardcover publishing
- Experience using tools such as Canva, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms
- Experience working with authors, publishers, or publishing companies
- Basic understanding of book launches and Amazon book listings
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- $6–$7 USD per hour, depending on experience
- US business hours / US timezone
- Candidates must be comfortable working a schedule that aligns with a US-based team

We're especially interested in candidates who have personally worked inside Amazon KDP and understand what happens between receiving a manuscript and successfully getting a book published on Amazon.
We're looking for someone who is organized and dependable, but who also has enough hands-on KDP knowledge to recognize issues, ask the right questions, and complete publishing tasks with minimal supervision.
