ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst to support the development and maintenance of clinical decision support solutions for imaging and laboratory services. This role combines clinical knowledge, healthcare technology, and data analysis to transform evidence-based guidelines into actionable workflows and decision-support tools within electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Medical Directors, and Customer Success teams to ensure clinical content is accurate, compliant with best practices, and aligned with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Content & Guideline Development
    • Review and interpret evidence-based clinical guidelines from organizations such as ACR, NCCN, ACC, and other specialty societies.
    • Translate clinical recommendations into structured decision-support content and workflows.
    • Develop and maintain clinical indications, testing pathways, and appropriateness recommendations.
    • Evaluate new guideline updates and assess their impact on existing content.
  • Clinical Decision Support & Logic Design
    • Convert clinical guidelines into decision-support rules and logic.
    • Design, develop, and maintain clinical workflows utilizing patient, provider, laboratory, and historical utilization data.
    • Ensure clinical logic aligns with evidence-based recommendations and EMR workflow requirements.
  • Clinical Informatics & Data Analysis
    • Analyze healthcare data and EMR workflows to support clinical recommendations.
    • Evaluate data quality, workflow limitations, and technical constraints.
    • Define data requirements for clinical decision-support functionality.
    • Maintain clinical terminology mappings and coding standards, including; ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Validate clinical content and logic against source guidelines.
    • Create test scenarios and validation plans.
    • Perform release testing, regression testing, and content validation activities.
    • Investigate clinical, workflow, and data-related issues.
    • Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify and resolve system issues.
    • Maintain documentation and audit records supporting clinical decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Medical Directors, and Customer Success teams.
    • Provide clinical expertise for product enhancements and workflow improvements.
    • Assess the clinical impact and feasibility of proposed product changes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health disciplines with exposure to diagnostic imaging, radiology, or clinical imaging workflows. Active PRC license is required.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in healthcare, clinical informatics, healthcare technology, EMR systems, or clinical decision support.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and evidence-based medicine.
  • Knowledge of healthcare coding and terminology standards such as ICD, CPT, LOINC, and SNOMED.
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in Clinical Informatics, Healthcare IT, EMR implementation, or Clinical Decision Support systems.
  • Familiarity with radiology, diagnostic imaging, laboratory workflows, or utilization management.
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other healthcare information systems.
  • Exposure to software testing, validation, quality assurance, or healthcare data analysis.
