About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Revit & Tekla Detailer VA to produce structural steel detailing and drawings on a project basis. You will work in Tekla Structures and Revit to produce accurate, production-ready models and drawings to the project's standards and deadlines. This role suits an experienced structural steel detailer who is fast and precise under deadline, with Australian project experience an advantage.

Work is concentrated into focused project periods rather than a steady weekly load, with the hours for each project estimated and agreed up front.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Steel Detailing

  • Produce structural steel models and shop drawings in Tekla Structures
  • Work in Revit for BIM and construction drawings as required
  • Deliver accurate, production-ready drawings to project standards
Project Delivery
  • Work to estimated project hours agreed up front
  • Hit deadlines during concentrated, deadline-driven project periods
  • Coordinate with the project manager and internal designer
Quality & Accuracy
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy across all drawings and models
  • Follow the project's standards, templates and procedures
  • Flag anything unclear before drawing
Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with the team through Microsoft Teams
  • Keep models and drawings organised and version-controlled
Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in Tekla Structures and/or Revit for structural steel
  • Structural steel detailing background (engineering background an advantage)
  • Fast and accurate under project deadlines
  • Australian project experience favourable
  • Able to work to agreed project hours and standards
  • Clear English communication for working with the team
