Location: Central London

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 pro-rata, depending on experience + bonus / commission 

Contract: Initial 3-month contract with the opportunity to become permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time
Office based with flexibility to attend evening and weekend events as required


My client is a prestigious London events venue hosting an extensive programme of corporate events, private celebrations, weddings and live experiences. They are seeking an experienced Sales & Events Manager to join the business immediately on an initial three-month contract, with the potential to become a permanent member of the team.


This is a hands-on role combining business development, event sales and event planning. You will be responsible for managing event enquiries, winning new business and overseeing the client journey from initial enquiry through to successful event delivery.


The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, bringing previous venue or hospitality sales experience and the confidence to manage multiple events from day one.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate, private, wedding and agency event enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmation
  • Proactively generate new business and build a strong sales pipeline
  • Develop relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, venue finders and key industry partners
  • Conduct venue show rounds, client meetings and presentations
  • Prepare bespoke proposals, quotations, contracts and event documentation
  • Negotiate commercial terms and maximise revenue opportunities through upselling
  • Manage the full client journey from enquiry through to event delivery and post-event follow-up
  • Coordinate closely with operations, catering and production teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline reporting
  • Represent the business at networking events, showcases and industry functions


About You

  • Previous experience within venue sales, event sales or event management
  • Strong track record of converting enquiries into confirmed business
  • Experience generating new business through proactive sales activity
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Confident managing multiple events and clients simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using CRM or venue management systems
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Available to start immediately or at short notice
