RUN Configuration Manager / Lead - IBM Maximo

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Bristol and London
Rate: £750 per day, inside IR35

Your new role

Hays is recruiting an experienced RUN Configuration Manager / Lead to join an Application Support team working within a secure Defence environment.

You will act as a Functional Consultant responsible for the configuration, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of IBM Maximo Application Suite, specifically Maximo v9. The position will ensure the platform continues to meet changing operational and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Maximo v9 modules in line with business requirements
  • Support day-to-day application operations within a BAU support environment
  • Manage incidents, service requests and problem tickets against agreed SLAs
  • Translate business requirements into effective functional configurations
  • Configure workflows, automation scripts, domains, escalations and user interface components
  • Complete impact assessments for changes and system enhancements
  • Support releases, patches and upgrades, including testing and validation
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams, developers and third-party suppliers
  • Maintain configuration records, system documentation and support procedures
  • Provide user guidance, support and knowledge transfer

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as an IBM Maximo Functional Consultant
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring IBM Maximo Application Suite, ideally Maximo v9
  • Configuration experience across Work Management, Assets, Inventory and Procurement
  • Experience configuring workflows, escalations, security groups and business rules
  • A background in Application Support or BAU environments
  • Experience managing incidents, problems and changes
  • Understanding of software lifecycle and change control processes
  • Familiarity with Remedy and/or Jira
  • Experience working within a secure, regulated or Defence environment
  • Active UK Security Clearance at SC level

Desirable experience

  • Maximo integrations, APIs and middleware
  • Knowledge of Maximo technical architecture, MBOs and database structures
  • Experience supporting Maximo upgrades or migrations to MAS or Maximo v9
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Previous experience working on Defence or government programmes
