Senior Accountant - CPA ( Permanent Remote Work)

We are raising the bar for Senior Accountants. This is not just a technical role. We are looking for confident professionals who can lead teams, work directly with U.S.-based clients, and drive process improvements.

This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strong attention to detail, proactive communication, and relationship management. You will oversee deliverables, manage people, and introduce innovations, particularly in automation and AI-driven efficiency.

Recruitment Process (7–10 Days)

  • Initial Interview (30–45 min): Background, experience, and motivation
  • Pre-Requisite: Submission of sample work or portfolio
  • Behavioral Interview (60–90 min): Leadership, communication, client management, problem-solving
  • Technical Interview (60–90 min): Accounting expertise, tools, and process improvement
  • Pre-Engagement: Reference check and IT audit

Scope of Services & KPIs Client Engagement & Management
  • Serve as primary client contact
  • Lead meetings and ensure client satisfaction
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Reconcile invoices and payments
  • Issue monthly invoices on time
  • Record payments within 1 day
  • Monitor overdue accounts and AR aging
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Record daily transactions
  • Complete reconciliation within 2 days after month-end
  • Accounts Payable
  • Ensure proper approvals and documentation
  • Monitor AP aging and report issues
  • Payroll & Contractor Payments
  • Prepare pay reports within 2 days
  • Record payroll expenses and payments promptly
  • General Accounting
  • Manage accruals, reversals, prepayments, and adjustments
  • Financial Closing
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis
  • Ensure accrual completeness within 3 days
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts by the 2nd Monday
  • Process Improvement
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures
Key Responsibilities Breakdown
  • 40%: Full accounting cycle, reporting, budgeting, reconciliations
  • 30%: Client management and team leadership
  • 20%: Review, quality control, mentoring, hiring support
  • 10%: Process improvement and AI-driven innovation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA required; CMA is a plus
  • Current and active CPA licence is mandatory
  • 5–7 years in a senior accounting or leadership role
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in senior accounting or leadership positions
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management ability
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Experience with AI tools is highly preferred
Tools & Systems
  • Required: QuickBooks, advanced Excel
  • Preferred: Xero, Bill.com
  • Advantage: ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage), AI tools

Service Fee & Benefits
  • $1,700 – $2,200/month (All-In) Independent Contractor | Final offer based on qualifications
