The role involves assisting with prescription processing, inventory management, patient service, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records to ensure safe and efficient pharmacy operations.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling medications accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Receive and process prescriptions in accordance with established pharmacy procedures and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Verify prescription information, patient details, and medication orders prior to processing.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication dispensing, and inventory transactions.</li><li>Manage medication inventory, including receiving, stocking, and monitoring pharmaceutical products and supplies.</li><li>Conduct routine checks of medication expiration dates and ensure proper storage conditions.</li><li>Assist with replenishing stock levels and coordinating medication orders with approved suppliers.</li><li>Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and visitors.</li><li>Respond to routine inquiries regarding prescriptions, medication availability, and pharmacy services, escalating clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.</li><li>Support the processing of insurance claims, billing activities, and payment transactions as applicable.</li><li>Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.</li><li>Adhere to patient confidentiality and data privacy standards in all aspects of work.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in accordance with infection control and safety standards.</li><li>Operate pharmacy management systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems accurately.</li><li>Assist pharmacists in medication reconciliation and medication distribution activities when required.</li><li>Participate in inventory audits, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Report medication discrepancies, incidents, or potential safety concerns to the supervising pharmacist.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.</li><li>Stay current with pharmacy procedures, medication updates, and regulatory changes through ongoing training and professional development.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or Pharmacy Technician</li><li>Valid Pharmacy Technician DOH license/registration or DHA license</li><li>Minimum of 2-3 years of experience</li></ul>
