Who the Client Is: The client is one of Australia's leading home cleaning service providers, connecting thousands of households with trusted professional cleaners each week. They are focused on strengthening their digital presence, increasing organic visibility, and adopting emerging AI search strategies to stay ahead in an evolving search landscape. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior SEO / AIO Specialist to lead the organic search strategy for a well-established Australian brand. This role will be responsible for driving sustainable organic growth through technical SEO, content optimisation, AI Optimisation (AIO), and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO). The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation and enjoys identifying new opportunities to improve search performance across both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences. You will take ownership of the SEO roadmap, monitor performance, and collaborate with the wider marketing team to deliver measurable results. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute SEO, AIO, and AEO strategies to increase organic local visibility and qualified traffic - Perform technical SEO audits and implement on-page optimisation initiatives - Develop and manage the SEO roadmap, providing regular progress updates and performance reporting - Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content opportunity assessments - Optimise website content and structure to improve visibility across search engines and AI-powered search platforms - Manage and update website content using WordPress - Develop high-quality backlink strategies through guest posting, digital PR, and other authority-building initiatives - Monitor website performance using SEO and analytics tools, providing actionable insights and recommendations - Review Google Ads campaigns and identify opportunities to support overall search performance where appropriate - Stay current with evolving SEO, AI search, and industry best practices, recommending new tools and strategies where beneficial Requirements Qualifications & Skills: - 8+ years of experience in SEO, with agency experience highly regarded - Strong technical SEO and on-page optimisation expertise - Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful SEO strategies - Hands-on experience with AI Optimisation (AIO), Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), or emerging AI search practices - Experience managing WordPress websites and implementing SEO improvements - Strong knowledge of backlink acquisition, guest posting, and digital PR strategies - Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO platforms - Familiarity with Google Ads and how paid and organic search strategies complement each other - Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills - Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and provide strategic recommendations - Previous experience supporting clients in AU/US/UK/CA or similar markets highly regarded - Experience within the home services industry is advantageous Work Arrangement & Expectations: - Fully remote role with partial overlap with Australian business hours (AEST) - Full-time engagement (40 hours a week) - Communication primarily via email, chat, phone, and Asana - Opportunity to influence the business's long-term organic search strategy and AI search initiatives - Expected to take ownership of performance, reporting, and continuous improvement - Ideal for a proactive SEO professional who enjoys combining strategy, technical implementation, and emerging AI search technologies to deliver measurable business outcomes
