Senior Trading Application Support Engineer (Rates & FX )

About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Trading Application Support Engineer (Rates & FX) to join the team in Singapore.

In This Role, You Will

  • Provide end-to-end, high availability support for critical Rates and FX trading platforms, including Electronic Trading, Algo Executions, Pricing, Booking, Risk Applications.
  • Lead major, high-severity incident triage on trading floor with urgency and precision. Drive root-cause analysis and ensure continuous improvement of application features and stability.
  • Function as trusted technology partner to senior business leaders and build a trusted relationship.
  • Deliverreal-time technical and functional support directly to front-office users in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Work with a global "follow-the-sun" team, driving cross-regional support strategy for global applications.
  • Provide training and mentoring to less experienced team members on guidebook changes and lead team to meet technical deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Strong experience in supporting applications in Unix and Cloud environment
  • Understanding of complex IT ecosystem including network, storage, datacenter, database, middleware, Market Data etc
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to lead major, high-severity production incident triage under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of investment banking front to back workflow and operational knowledge financial products, preferably in Rates(Bonds, IRS, Rates derivates) , FX (Spot, Forward, NDFs, Options)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effective collaboration with trading desk and business partners.

Desired Qualifications

  • 10 years of application support experience in trading systems or relevant financial services.
  • Experience with Electronic trading, systematic algo trading, exchange connectivity and FIX protocols
  • Experience with various CI/CD and monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Splunk, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, Grafana etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl) and SQL skills with relational database or Mongo DB
  • Experience in AI assisted support role and trading floor support is a plus.
