Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Website Developer to build, maintain, optimize, and secure professional business websites across multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in WordPress development, AWS hosting environments, website security, server management, and modern web technologies. This role requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What We’re Looking For:

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience building and managing professional websites.
  • Advanced experience with WordPress.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Understanding of Laravel and modern PHP development frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and UX best practices.
  • Experience optimizing website speed and performance.
AWS & Infrastructure
  • Experience managing AWS LightSail, Ubuntu Linux servers, WordPress migrations, manual WordPress installations, SSL certificates, backups, and server hardening. Experience transitioning websites from BitNami-based environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of DNS management, SSL certificates, backups, and server security.
  • Familiarity with Linux servers, Apache, Nginx, and database management.
Server & Hosting Administration
  • Ubuntu Linux administration
  • SSH access and command line troubleshooting
  • WordPress migrations
  • Apache and Nginx configuration
  • SSL certificate management
  • Database backup and recovery
  • Website performance optimization
Security
  • Experience with website security, malware prevention, and disaster recovery.
  • Knowledge of secure website architecture and spam prevention.
Communication

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
