Short-Term Rental Property Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced, high-level Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing short-term rental portfolio. This role requires someone who can operate independently, proactively solve problems, and deliver consistently high guest experiences without direct oversight.

 

 Core Responsibilities

 Guest Experience & Communication

  • Manage all guest messaging from inquiry through checkout
  • Handle issues, complaints, and special requests professionally
  • Maintain 5-star review standards and resolve negative experiences

 

 Cleaner & Turnover Management

  • Coordinate cleaning schedules (via Turno or similar)
  • Ensure properties are guest-ready before check-in
  • Communicate directly with cleaners for issues or re-cleans

 

 Maintenance & Vendor Coordination

  • Schedule and manage maintenance requests
  • Source and communicate with vendors (plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Ensure issues are resolved quickly and cost-effectively

 

 Review Management

  • Monitor and respond to guest reviews
  • Attempt to remove unfair or policy-violating reviews
  • Handle guest follow-ups and potential refunds when needed

 

 Operations & Optimization

  • Assist with pricing adjustments (via PriceLabs or similar tools)
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and guest experience
  • Monitor listings and flag any operational issues

 

 Key Traits We’re Looking For

  • Highly independent and proactive
  • Strong communication skills (professional, calm, and clear)
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Comfortable making decisions without constant direction
  • Experience managing Airbnb or similar STR platforms

Bonus Experience

  • Guesty, Turno, PriceLabs, or similar tools
  • Experience managing multiple properties
  • Ability to negotiate with guests and vendors
